Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania and Arusha Tour

After arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), we will arrange a private transfer from the Airport to your accommodation at Planet Lodge Arusha. Depending on your flight arrival time we can offer a tour of Arusha. Arusha is a vibrant city with a unique blend of urban energy and natural beauty. Begin your eco-friendly adventure in Arusha by exploring the bustling local markets, where you can immerse yourself in the colorful tapestry of Tanzanian culture and perhaps purchase handmade crafts from local artisans. Our safari guide will meet you at the hotel later in the evening for a pre-safari briefing. You will have dinner and a goodnight sleep ready for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park Safari

Discover the exclusive endangered species like the greater kudu, fringe-eared oryx, and ashy starling within the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the Tarangire River with stunning views but watch out for the mischievous local monkey population eager for a treat! Spot a variety of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, dik-dik, and numerous bird species like ostriches, hornbills, parrots, eagles, and more, best observed during the wet season.

Day 3: Serengeti Wildlife Safari

At 8:00 AM, you'll be picked up from your accommodation for a 4.5-hour drive to Serengeti National Park. Encounter a variety of wildlife, from hippos and crocodiles in the riverine forests to giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and more. Explore the park's rich birdlife with over 500 species, including the Kori bustard and African Fish Eagle. Witness the remarkable annual migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. With resident animals like giraffes, buffalo, elephants, and majestic predators, spotting the Big 5 is a must. Check into your beautiful, tented lodge in the evening.

Day 4: Serengeti Wildlife Safari

​Continue your wildlife adventure at Serengeti National Park to ensure you see all the rich biodiversity seen at the park.

Day 5: Central Serengeti Wildlife Safari

Following breakfast, embark on a wildlife safari in Central Serengeti. Explore the diverse wildlife, from large lion prides and cheetahs to elephants and giraffes. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the plentiful animal sightings before returning to your lodge in the late afternoon after a full day of exploration.

Day 6: Rhino Reserve Visit and Indigenous Community Visit

After breakfast have a short game and visit rhino reserve at Utafiti in Serengeti.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Following an early breakfast, we'll descend over 600 meters to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a tour. Witness monkeys, elephants, and possibly flamingos at the lake area, and observe lions in the open savannah. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before a brief journey to Manyara in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Local Women Projects

Following breakfast, we'll journey to the Mto wa mbu area to explore local women's initiatives. Beginning with the Local Food Mama's projects, which focus on preparing food for visitors, you'll have the chance to engage with them about their work. Then, we'll visit the Maasai Women's project, where women craft beautiful accessories like earrings, bracelets, and necklaces from bead products, supporting both their livelihoods and the community

You will be driven from your lodge to JRO airport.

The tented lodge runs entirely on solar energy in terms of electricity and hot water supply. A backup generator is only used to ensure electricity supply throughout rainy days.
